Advocacy efforts kicked off on November 5 in Washington, DC, at the LUNGevity Foundation’s "White Flag for Lung Cancer" event on the National Mall.

The ACR's annual campaign supports policies that expand lung cancer screening programs, fund research, and promote patient education. It includes nationwide radio spots urging at-risk individuals to have an annual lung cancer screening.

Participating leaders within the ACR include Board Chair Alan Matsumoto, MD, and Arun Krishnaraj, MD, who will participate in a gubernatorial proclamation signing at the Virginia Executive Mansion, November 18.

ACR also noted events in Denver, CO, and Washington that included Debra Dyer, MD; Kim Sandler, MD; and Tiffany Gowen, ACR staff lead for the ACR Lung Cancer Screening Committee.
