The American College of Radiology (ACR) has introduced an enhanced Diagnostic Imaging Centers of Excellence (DICOE) program that sets new benchmarks for quality in medical imaging practice.
Organizations can achieve one of three designations through the updated program: DICOE, DICOE with Distinction, and DICOE Pinnacle.
Four imaging facilities have completed evaluation in the new DICOE program, including the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston (DICOE Pinnacle) and Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA, Henry Ford Health Radiology Downriver Region in Michigan, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (the latter three, DICOE Distinction).
Information on the DICOE program can be found on the ACR website.
