The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) has a new policy director.
Peter Weems will strengthen the association's expertise in coverage and reimbursement issues, and engage and educate regulators about the value of medical imaging and the importance of patient access to it, MITA said.
Prior to joining MITA, Weems was an associate with van der Walde and Co., where he provided research and analysis to capital markets and private equity investors on federal healthcare payment policy. Previously, he worked in research roles, focusing primarily on healthcare, at two lobbying firms in Washington, DC.
