The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) has named Nelson Mendes, longtime president and CEO of Ziehm Imaging, as chairman of the board.
As MITA chairman, Mendes has outlined four strategic areas of focus: medical device tax repeal, reimbursement and coverage, service quality standards, and MITA's standards development principles. His term runs through 2016.
Mendes has led Ziehm Imaging -- which manages the German C-arm developer's activities in the U.S., Canada, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean -- since 2008.
