The American College of Radiology (ACR) has published the 2024 edition of its Manual on Contrast Media.
Produced by the ACR Committee on Drugs and Contrast Media, the new manual features four updates:
- An update and addition of Ferumoxytol as a new MRI contrast medium for Chapter 12 – Contrast Media in Children
- An update for Chapter 13 - Gastrointestinal (GI) Contrast Media in Adults: Indications and Guidelines
- An evidence-based update with recommendations and strength of evidence for Chapter 20 – Administration of Contrast Media in Women Who are Breast-Feeding
- An update for Eovist (Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals) in Table 1: ACR Manual Classification of Gadolinium-Based Agents Relative to Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis
