Radiologic technologists earn the most in California, with an average salary of $103,150, according to a recent article in Forbes.
Forbes culled data for both current wages and wages for the job in every state over the last five years in data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The magazine noted that there are currently over 271,000 radiologic technologists in the U.S., a figure that is projected to grow by 6% over the next 10 years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook.
The lowest-paying state is Mississippi, where radiologic technologists earn an average of $25.80 an hour and $53,660 a year, according to the article.
