The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) has announced the 2021 winners of its I Am the Gold Standard program for registered technologists who excel in their profession.
The winners are as follows:
- Jason Lee is a radiologist assistant at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he specializes in pediatric care. He is also an x-ray technologist at MedStar Health.
- Roberto Juan Telleria is an interventional radiographer at Baptist Hospital of South Florida in Miami. During more than 40 years in interventional radiology, he has focused on caring for people who experience emergencies and need urgent interventions.
- Rachel Ward is a radiation therapist at Ulmer Dermatology in Long Beach, CA, where she uses superficial radiation therapy to treat skin cancer.
A committee of radiologic technologists on staff at the ARRT selects the winners based on criteria in one or more of the following categories: quality and safety, patient experience, and advocating for the profession.
Lee, Telleria, and Ward will receive airfare, hotel, and conference registration for a national society conference of their choice in the continental U.S.
