Misonix sells Sonora

Ultrasound technology developer Misonix has sold its Sonora Medical Systems imaging equipment supplier subsidiary to Medical Imaging Holdings of Golden, CO, for $8 million in cash.

A holding company formed by healthcare equity firm Galen Partners, Medical Imaging Holdings acquired refurbished imaging equipment provider Barrington Medical Imaging and ultrasound/x-ray equipment firm Echoserve in September. The firm aims to form a nationwide independent service provider for medical imaging equipment.
