Glassbeam gains FedRAMP authorization

Glassbeam has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization for its connected medical equipment maintenance and service analytics offering.

The approval means that Glassbeam's Clinsights Service Analytics, multivendor software as a service (SaaS), will be available in the federal marketplace. Designed to address unexpected medical imaging equipment failures and unplanned equipment downtime, the software uses AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning to monitor the devices and anticipate needed repairs, according to the firm.

In its announcement, Glassbeam noted its partnership with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Medical Device Networking and Cybersecurity Division, adding that its service analytics has been deployed within VISN 2 for now.

FedRAMP is a federal government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services, according to the firm. FedRAMP authorization follows a successful security audit via an accredited third-party assessor.
