ACR Foundation donates to Nepal

The American College of Radiology (ACR) Foundation is helping to rebuild Nepal's radiology services after the country suffered two earthquakes this past spring.

The foundation has contributed $10,000 to Rad-Aid International, which works to improve access to medical imaging services in poor and developing regions of the world. The contribution will provide assistance in creating a radiology fellowship program at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, which would become the first specialty fellowship program in the country.

The donation will also support radiation safety improvement efforts through training, assessment, and protocol revisions, as well as provide training to Nepalese faculty, staff, residents, and fellows on PACS technologies.
