ImagingU has launched a new online postprimary pathway course for aspiring CT technologists that includes mock board testing and can be paired with ScanLab's ScanLabCT.
The course features a comprehensive curriculum that consists of a suite of instructional videos, figures, analogies, and test prep, according to ImagingU. It fulfills the postprimary pathway requirements set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
For universities and hospitals interested in more comprehensive CT education and training, the course can be combined with ScanLabCT, CT simulator software from ImagingU’s sister company, ScanLab.
ScanLabCT was released in December 2023. It replicates the in-person scanning experience, helping students and technologists learn and develop their CT skills in a virtual environment. For educators and managers, ScanLabCT provides built-in assessment tools for quantitatively tracking students’ progress and identifying areas for improvement.
The combination of the new CT didactic course and simulation software will more quickly and effectively train and cross-train technologists into the field, ultimately enhancing patient care, ImagingU said.
