RSNA: National Imaging Informatics Course is back

The National Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC) will return online September 23 to 27.

The week-long, online course is a partnership between the RSNA and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) and offers an opportunity for professionals at all levels to expand their knowledge of imaging informatics, according to the RSNA.

Now in its eighth year, the course is open to trainees, practicing radiologists, and scientists in radiology and pathology and was designed to benefit everyone from fourth-year radiology residents to experienced professionals.

It delves into fundamental principles of imaging informatics to create engagement and innovation within the field, covering topics from clinical workflow, PACS, and standards to data science, algorithms, and the business of informatics, the RSNA said. The learning experience includes small group discussions, live online lectures, on-demand content, assessments, and homework assignments.

The early registration deadline is September 4. Participants receive a certificate upon completion of the course and qualify for up to 20 hours of SIIM IIP Credits for ABII Certification and Recertification, the RSNA added.
