RSNA 2013 to highlight French oncology research

A special France Presents session focused on oncologic imaging and techniques will be held at this year's RSNA 2013 meeting in Chicago.

The scientific session will include topics such as whole-body diffusion in hematology malignancies, molecular imaging for biopsy guidance, intra-arterial therapy for liver malignancies, and the radiologist's role as part of a multidisciplinary team treating colorectal liver metastases, according to the RSNA.

Wide-area CT delivers modest drop in pediatric dose

Study shows decline in inpatient imaging utilization

CHICAGO - If the experience of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is any indication, inpatient imaging utilization dropped after 2009 following two decades of growth. Researchers found that CT, conventional imaging, and nuclear medicine use declined, while ultrasound and MRI remained stable.
