Granular Cell Tumor (Granular Cell Myoblastoma):

Granular cell tumors are uncommon neoplasms which may be of schwann cell origin. Females are affected more than males (8:1) and there a higher incidence in blacks (63% of cases). Up to 20% of patients may have multiple lesions. The lesion can develop anywhere in the body, but the tongue is the most common site. The lower respiratory tract is one of the least common locations. The tumor is usually located in the larynx or mainstem bronchi. The trachea is rarely affected. The lesion is usually well circumscribed, but since it is non-encapsulated local invasion is found in just over a quarter of the cases. Tumor recurrence can be seen if resection is incomplete.REFERENCES:
