Iowa Methodist converts to Kodak film-screen systems

Iowa Methodist Medical Center, a 750-bed facility in Des Moines, has converted its film-screen systems to Eastman Kodak Health Imaging’s X-Sight L/RA. The facility also is using the Rochester, NY-based company’s Insight system for its thoracic imaging needs.

The X-Sight line provides wide latitude, combined with high contrast and high-speed capabilities that can reduce radiation exposure, said Kodak. The Insight thoracic imaging product is an asymmetric, dual-emulsion film that is designed to capture both low-density and high-density anatomical structures in one exposure, according to the vendor
