GE helps fund sports-injury study

Multimodality vendor GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., is sponsoring a three-year research study to examine damage to articular cartilage, a common sports-related injury.

GE is sponsoring the project in conjunction with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) of Rosemont, IL. Researchers will examine alternative solutions for treating articular cartilage injuries, according to the company.
