Philips Medical Systems is introducing a CT lung nodule assessment and comparison option at this week's European Congress of Radiology in Vienna. The new option includes a CT software tool that provides quantitative information on the size, shape, and change of lung nodules over time, according to Philips of Andover, MA.
It also allows for volumetric analysis, Philips said. The program, which has received Food and Drug Administration clearance, is available on all CT systems in the firm's Mx8000 family.
