Interventional technology provider C.R. Bard has signed an agreement to sell some of the assets of its endoscopic technologies division to medical technology firm ConMed for $80 million. The division, based in Billerica, MA, manufactures and markets devices and accessories used primarily by gastroenterologists for endoscopic procedures, according to Bard of Murray Hill, NJ.
The firm's enteral feeding and endoscopic suturing product lines were not included in the agreement and will be transferred to other Bard business units. Bard expects the transaction to close within 60 days.
