Nomos debuts real-time dose adjustment

Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific said that its Nomos Radiation Oncology division has launched a set of real-time dose-adjustment tools called ActiveRX, for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment planning.

ActiveRx is incorporated into the latest version of the firm's Corvus 6 IMRT software planning tool and provides a set of automated, interactive tools to manipulate dose volumes in real time. Corvus with ActiveRx allows clinicians to draw isodose lines directly on CT scans, interactively push dose out of sensitive structures, and click and drag to adjust dose to planning volumes, according to the Chatsworth, CA-based vendor.
