Medical imaging software developer MeVis Medical Solutions has released its Visia CT Lung computer-aided detection (CAD) system.
Visia CT Lung provides tools such as lung nodule CAD for automatic detection of actionable lung nodules, AutoPoint temporal comparison for automatic registration of serial chest CT exams, and pulmonary artery analysis, according to the Pewaukee, WI, vendor. It's also compatible with all major CT system vendors and has the ability to display CAD results directly on enterprise PACS workstations or on optional Visia or select third-party workstations, MeVis said.
Visia CT Lung is the first product introduced in the U.S. under MeVis' own brand name. Invivo has been signed on as a Visia sales and marketing partner.
The introduction follows the recent acquisition by MeVis of the CT business of R2 Technology in April.
