Seoul, South Korea-based AI developer Coreline Soft has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for Aview Aorta Metrics, its software for quantitative aortic assessment on chest CT.
The software automatically segments the aorta from chest CT images, classifies aortic zones, and measures the diameter of each zone, according to the vendor. It also provides straightened curved planar reformation, cross-sectional, and 3D views, as well as analysis reports, Coreline Soft said.
The clearance is Coreline Soft’s 13th FDA 510(k) clearance, according to the company. Aview Aorta Metrics joins the firm’s Aview platform for analysis of multiple diseases on chest CT, which includes Aview LCS and Aview Lung Nodule CAD for lung nodule detection and analysis, and Aview CAC for coronary artery calcium scoring on noncontrast chest CT.
