Fuji introduces new CR device at SCAR

BOSTON - Fujifilm Medical Systems USA debuted a new addition to its CR line today at the Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology. ClearView-CS, a dual-sided multicassette stacker, is designed for x-ray departments with multiple rooms, said the Stamford, CT-based company.

The product features a spatial resolution of 50 microns for 18 x 24-cm and 24 x 30-cm cassettes, as well as a 100% increase in detective quantum efficiency. In addition, ClearView CS permits the processing of up to 178 imaging plates per hour, and can also be upgraded for mammography applications, processing up to 20 screening mammography exams per hour from multiple exam rooms.

Pricing on the system has not been set, but is expected prior to its market introduction this fall, said John Strauss, director of marketing for imaging systems at Fuji.
