Canadian digital x-ray developer Imaging Dynamics has released Xplorer 1500, a digital chest unit. Employing the same charge-coupled device (CCD) detector technology as IDC's Xplorer 1700 system, Xplorer 1500 offers a 43 x 43-cm imaging area, a 175-cm vertical range, and 14-bit capture, according to the Calgary, Alberta-based vendor. The system is available through the firm's dealer network.
