CompuMed Q3 results slip

Bone densitometry software developer CompuMed reported fiscal third-quarter revenues of $428,000, down 14% compared with the $498,000 turned in last year. For the period (end-June 30), the Los Angeles firm had a net loss of $48,000, compared with a net loss of $290,000 in the fiscal third quarter of 2002.

In quarterly developments, CompuMed said that its research and development team completed work on a DICOM version of its OsteoGram system, which will allow imaging manufacturers and distributors to offer OsteoGram on their existing and future digital platforms. CEO Jerry McLaughlin said that CompuMed’s bid to become a provider of medical imaging applications for digital radiography systems is progressing well.
