Shimadzu will feature its flat-panel cardiac and vascular system, Digitex-Safire, along with its Cvision Plus R/F table and the stationary anode mobile C-arm, model WHA-200.
Digitex-Safire employs a direct-conversion, dynamic-imaging flat detector, according to the Torrance, CA-based vendor. Safire (Shimadzu Advanced Flat Imaging Receptor) is the result of collaboration and development by three companies working together on this x-ray detector technology. The fully digitalized Safire can be connected to any department’s cardiology network, Shimadzu said.
Cvision Plus is an advanced R/F table with an integrated double C-arm positioner that provides applications from G.I. exams to angiographic/interventional studies. A multidirectional 12-inch or 16-inch image intensifier gives flexibility, according to the vendor. Cvision Plus can be installed in an existing R/F space and performs both R/F and angio procedures.
Shimadzu’s stationary anode mobile C-arm WHA-200 provides high quality images with lower dose to the patient and can be disinfected for use in surgical suites, Shimadzu said. Features include real-time DSA with “Vascular Power,” DICOM connectivity, touch-panel LCD monitor, virtual collimation, pulsed fluoroscopy, and APR preprogrammable wedge-filter loading.
