Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, launched a new digital platform for its Infinix i-series of vascular and cardiovascular angiography systems at this week's Society of Interventional Radiology meeting in Phoenix.
Dubbed Digital Fluorography Processor 8000 (DFP-8000D), the platform includes a range of new features and benefits, including multitasking processing and simultaneous acquisition, DICOM 3.0 service-class capabilities, processing and storing of film images, and hard-drive storage for up to 50,000 images.
DFP-8000D's open-architecture design supports angiography systems with traditional image intensifiers and those with flat-panel digital detectors (currently works-in-progress). The platform works with Toshiba's V3.10 software upgrade for Infinix i-series systems, according to the firm.
