Canadian digital x-ray developer Imaging Dynamics has landed two more U.S. installations for its Xplorer 1800 digital radiography system.
One of the systems will be delivered to Shands Jacksonville, a 695-bed level-one trauma center in Jacksonville, FL, that conducts more than 180,000 radiology procedures a year. The hospital will install three Xplorer 1800 units, and will connect them to a PACS by Merge eFilm of Milwaukee.
The second installation is at Jackson County Hospital in Scottsboro, AL, which performs some 40,000 radiology procedures a year. The facility is converting to filmless operation in a multiphased approach beginning with the Xplorer 1800 installation, the company said.
