Eastman Kodak Health Imaging and radiation therapy technology provider Acceletronics have signed an agreement. Acceletronics of Exton, PA, will begin marketing Kodak's 2000RT CR Plus oncology computed radiography system in the U.S., with Kodak providing installation, service, and support for the systems.
In other radiation oncology news, Kodak showed off enhancements to 2000RT CR Plus at this week's annual meeting of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). Upgrades include new features to simplify operator interface commands and improve productivity by eliminating the need for operators to examine each image prior to sending it to a physician for review, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor.
Other new capabilities include posting notification to the operator interface to confirm that images have been transmitted to patient management systems or other destinations. Kodak also highlighted its Web distribution system and professional services portfolio in its booth.
