Italy-based Ferrania will debut its LifeInVision CR and CR Plus tabletop CR units, along with a new range of digital radiography products.
The LifeInVision DR systems are based on amorphous silicon flat-panel detector technology utilizing a 43 x 43-cm Pixium 4600 plate manufactured by Trixell of Moirans, France. The LifeInVision DR 961 system employs a column stand that requires no ceiling mounting; a wall or floor mounting will suffice. Additionally, the tube-detector alignment is achieved by rotating the U-arm. The system includes a variable fixed-focus grid.
The system is capable of handling general radiography examinations of patients standing, sitting, or lying on stretchers, with images displayed on a 19-inch LCD display. Integration of system functions -- including RIS interface, generator set-up, image acquisition, plus local PACS storage -- is carried out on a single workstation.
On the computed radiography side, LifeInVision CR and CR Plus units can function as a dispersed unit by installing it in the diagnostic room, or in a centralized environment with units serving several rooms. Plate throughput is up to 75 per hour for the LifeInVision CR Plus unit.
