In the area of general radiography, Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, will introduce DigitalDiagnost VM, a one-detector radiography room with minimal room size requirements. The product has received FDA clearance, and will be targeted toward the economy market segment.
DigitalDiagnost is the vendor's two-detector DR offering, and Philips will emphasize the system's ergonomics, image quality, and high throughput. Another system, EasyDiagnost Eleva, is a conventional analog radiography/fluoroscopy system that has the ability to add CR technology for added flexibility. Look for Philips to highlight EasyLat, a foldout cassette for fast lateral exposures.
Also featured will be the Allura Xper FD20, a top-of-the line flat-detector system for general vascular, neurovascular, and cardiovascular applications, with a compact 12 x 16-inch detector. Look for Philips to talk up the system's 2K x 2K imaging chain, which the company claims provides four times the resolution of conventional angiography systems.
The system is based on Philips' Xper workflow software, which the company believes improves workflow by enabling each user to customize the system according to their preferences. Allura Xper FD20 also features the company's advanced interventional tools like 3D-RA, for 3D rotation angiography, and StentBoost, for improved visualization of stents.
