Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, will highlight its Axiom Sireskop SD fluoroscopy system and the Axiom Multix M flat-panel detector.
The tableside-controlled Axiom Sireskop SD provides dose-reduction techniques and a high-capacity x-ray tube to ensure flexibility without sacrificing image quality, according to the company. The system features a wide table and can support weight up to 500 lb. The system comes equipped with syngo, Siemens' standard user interface, and is a PC-based digital system that runs on Windows NT.
Sireskop SD's market niche will be orthopedics, with universal applications in fluoroscopy and radiography. It has been cleared by the FDA and is available worldwide.
In the digital realm, Axiom Multix M is a mobile, flat-panel detector for general purpose radiographic applications, both on and off the table, as well as in the standing position at the wall bucky.
Multix M can hold up to 350 lb. Its market niche includes orthopedics, emergency rooms, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. It has FDA clearance, and has been available in the U.S. and worldwide since March 2004.
