X-ray technology developer InfiMed of Liverpool, NY, will introduce its StingRay Excel digital radiography system at the RSNA show this month. The system is based on the original StingRay DR system, which came out in 2002.
Excel is designed as an upgrade or as a panel that can be integrated into an x-ray system from an OEM. The software platform will accommodate a wide range of static and dynamic flat-panel detectors.
New features on Excel include:
- ImageEnhance, which optimizes images immediately, requiring no postprocessing from the technologist.
- Edge enhancement, for separate optimized enhancement of bone or soft-tissue detail, independent of each other.
- Exams-specific processing, which allows customization to the specifications of each exam, streamlining exam setup.
