Digital radiography developer Swissray International is planning to showcase new 16-bit digital detector technology at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago.
All new Swissray DR systems will be sold with the company's 16-bit HD-16 CCD-based digital technology, according to the Elizabeth, NJ, firm. The HD-16 detectors will provide better image quality at reduced radiation dose, with over 65,000 gray levels in images, according to the company. Previously, Swissray's detector line was based on 12-bit digital technology.
The 16-bit detectors will also be available as upgrades to existing users of Swissray systems.
