Siemens Healthcare has won a contract to install Ysio wi-D, a digital radiography system with a wireless detector, at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the east London borough of Hackney.
Ysio wi-D features a wireless detector that can be used in a bucky, on the table and stand, or removed and placed underneath or next to the patient. It produces image previews five seconds after exposure, according to Siemens of Erlangen, Germany.
