European flat-panel detector market climbing

The European market for medical imaging flat-panel detectors generated $73.4 million in revenues in 2007 and is expected to climb to $191.6 million by 2014, according to a report by market research firm Frost & Sullivan.

Growth is being driven by a digitization trend in Europe, as well as by adoption of PACS and healthcare IT systems, according to the San Antonio-based firm.
