Philips creates cath lab showcase in U.A.E.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates has become a regional reference site for Philips Healthcare's Ambient Experience Cath Lab, echocardiography, and cardiovascular information products.

Under the agreement, the Andover, MA-based company will supply and install a cath lab, which will include Philips' Allura Xper FD 20/10 Witt hemodynamic system. The site is to become operational next month.

SKMC is managed by Philips and the Cleveland Clinic.
