OmniSonics adds patents

Vascular ultrasound developer OmniSonics Medical Technologies of Wilmington, MA, has added two new U.S. patents for its ultrasonic tissue ablation device. One of the patents covers the firm’s variable stiffness device that can be manipulated within an anatomical passage for the application of its OmniWave technology. A second patent was issued for a steerable catheter device, also for use with the technology.
