Vascular device developer Conor Medsystems has signed a distribution deal with Biotronik AG of Bulach, Switzerland, for its Costar cobalt chromium paclitaxel drug eluting stent.
Biotronik will be the worldwide sole distributor of Costar and responsible for its sales and marketing, with the exception of the U.S., Japan, and some Asia Pacific countries, Conor Medsystems said. Distribution will commence upon regulatory approval, anticipated in 2005, according to the Menlo Park, CA-based firm.
