Interventional device developer Medrad and plastics manufacturer Moll Industries will be continuing their five-year relationship, signing a new agreement valued at approximately $65 million.
The contract keeps Moll as the preferred supplier of tooling, molded parts, and design consultation, according to Dallas-based Moll and Medrad of Indianola, PA. Moll will invest around $1 million to expand its Seagrove, NC, facility, adding a new clean room to handle increased Medrad production.
In other Medrad news, the company has renewed its contract with group purchasing organization Consorta of Schaumburg, IL. Medrad will continue to be Consorta's exclusive supplier of vascular injection systems and related disposables for CT, MRI, and cardiovascular imaging.
