Cardinal Health hit with shareholder suit

Dallas law firm Baron & Budd has filed a class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio against Cardinal Health.

The suit alleges that Cardinal of Dublin, OH, issued materially false statements concerning its financial condition. The suit is brought on behalf of all persons who purchased publicly traded securities of Cardinal between October 24, 2000 and June 30, 2004, according to Baron & Budd.

A spokesperson for Cardinal Health had no immediate comment on the suit.
