Cardinal Health delays 10-K filing

Cardinal Health said it has delayed the filing of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Form 10-K for its 2004 fiscal year (end-June 30), in order to provide additional time for its audit committee to complete an investigation as part of an ongoing internal review.

Pending completion of the review, Cardinal Health said its goal is to file the Form 10-K by late October. The company said it doesn't expect to change its previously issued guidance for its fourth quarter and 2004 fiscal year, or the outlook it has provided for the 2005 fiscal year.

Cardinal Health has also postponed its annual shareholders meeting from November 3 to a date as soon as possible following the filing of its Form 10-K.
