Interventional technology firm Medtronic has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for its Micro-Driver coronary stent system.
A bare-metal system, Micro-Driver is designed to perform in small vessels and tortuous anatomies, according to the Minneapolis-based firm. The cobalt-alloy stent is indicated for new or untreated vessels, Medtronic said.
Micro-Driver is available in diameters of 2.25 mm, 2.5, mm and 2.75 mm, and lengths of 8, 12, 14, 18, and 24 mm.
