Interventional technology firm Medtronic has debuted a stent graft for its Xcelerant Hydro delivery system, the Minneapolis company reported.
The AneuRx AAAdvantage stent graft features a hydrophilic coating to help the device navigate through tight arteries by reducing friction with the artery wall, according to Medtronic.
Introduced in the U.S. in 2006, Medtronic's Xcelerant Hydro delivery system features an integrated dual-taper sheath designed to facilitate insertion and retraction of the entire delivery catheter by minimizing the time that the surface area of the sheath is in contact with the artery wall.
