Interventional device developer BioSphere Medical of Rockland, MA, has named Joel B. Weinstein to the newly created position of vice president of global marketing and sales.
Weinstein most recently founded and led several medical device companies, and created his own firm to provide strategic counsel to medical device companies and venture capital firms.
Weinstein also spent 11 years as vice president of marketing and business development at Hologic, having joined the Bedford, MA-based firm at its inception. Before joining Hologic, Weinstein served in management positions for seven years with former ultrasound vendor Advanced Technology Laboratories (now part of the ultrasound division of Philips Healthcare) of Bothell, WA.
