GE, ART sell SAMI to Novartis

Laser and optical imaging developer Advanced Research Technologies (ART) of Montreal and GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, have closed the sale of ART’s small animal molecular imager (SAMI) product to Basel, Switzerland-based Novartis Pharma. SAMI is an optical fluorescence molecular imaging device developed to help pharmaceutical companies and research laboratories better understand disease and reduce the development cycle for new drugs, ART said.
