Canon Medical Systems USA will offer Hermes Medical Solutions' molecular imaging and dosimetry software with Canon PET/CT systems.
Tim Nicholson, managing director of Canon Medical's molecular imaging business unit, said the collaboration marks a "significant milestone in advancing precision medicine, particularly in theranostics."
Hermes CEO Tom Francke said the collaboration will support dosimetry planning and verification for theranostics, as well as "seamless user access" across all clinical aspects of nuclear medicine.
As it heads into the 2024 Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) annual meeting in Toronto, Canon Medical will highlight its AI-enabled Cartesion Prime Digital PET-CT, and Digital PET-CT with air-cooled design, and said the Hermes partnership will also complement Vitrea Oncology offerings with advanced theragnostic capabilities.
