Canadian radiotherapy supplier MDS Nordion of Kanata, Ontario, said it plans to develop a new external-beam radiation therapy system.
The new system, which will join the firm's Theratron line of radiotherapy equipment, will feature asymmetrical jaws and a motorized wedge for expanded treatment possibilities, the company said. The system will also feature ergonomic hand controls, a new treatment table, and a graphical interface, according to the firm.
