Dear Ultrasound Insider,
Quality assurance may not be the most exciting topic, but it's a critical one. For vascular laboratories, successful quality assurance requires consistent use of protocols and interpretation schemes, according to Dr. Laurence Needleman of Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) in Philadelphia.
In addition, vascular labs need to take measures such as continuously validating their results, he said. Needleman spoke during a talk at the recent Leading Edge in Diagnostic Ultrasound conference in Atlantic City, NJ.
