Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA, today said it would vigorously defend itself against a patent infringement lawsuit filed by competitor iCAD of Nashua, NH, in a New Hampshire federal court.
R2 called iCAD’s claim "meritless," and said that the litigation was a "diversionary tactic" designed to shift attention away from R2’s own patent infringement case against iCAD. That case is scheduled to go to trial in October in Delaware, R2 president Mike Klein said.
