Siemens, i3Archive ink deal

Siemens Medical Solutions has signed a sales agreement with i3Archive of Philadelphia. Siemens will market, sell, and participate in research and development activities for i3Archive’s National Digital Mammography Archive (NDMA), according to Malvern, PA-based Siemens. Developed with grant funding from the U.S. government by four teaching universities including the University of Philadelphia, NDMA is a distributed archiving supercomputer that allows hospitals or a health system to access their image data, or, with approval, another hospital’s image data in less than 90 seconds, Siemens said.
